Thursday, Gucci Mane posted the tracklist for his new album via Instagram.
The 16-track album is an assortment of holiday beats and productions paired with trap beats. Many original songs fill the album with Gucci’s take on a trap Christmas including songs like “Snow” and “Mr.Wop.” However, sprinkled throughout the project are his unique versions of well-known traditional songs like “12 Days of Christmas.”
Familiar voices are featured throughout the project including; Jason Derulo, who is set to appear in the new movie “Cats” alongside other stars; Asian Doll, the female rapper on the rise and Migos member, Quavo who appears on two tracks.
The album is the third entry in Gucci’ Mane’s East Atlanta Santa series, following the original 2014 mixtape and December 2016’s The Return of East Atlanta Santa. The East Atlanta Santa sequel was met well by critics receiving an average album score of 70 by Metacritic, following its singles; “Last Time,” “Drove U Crazy” and “Both.”
The newly released project is a great addition to the series. It has a more fun and comedic presence than its predecessors and is a great step away from the traditional carols for those looking to give their adult holiday party a more modern and urban sound.
