The “Hot Girl Summer” sensation is officially over. Say hello to “Hot Girl Winter.”
Megan Thee Stallion, fresh off her fiery breakout success last year, made her highly-anticipated return Friday, dropping the 90’s-inspired “B.I.T.C.H.” The song samples the classic Tupac track “Ratha Be Your Ni**a,” and is the first single from her upcoming debut album, Suga.

The hype surrounding the single started when the Houston rapper teased a snippet of her rapping to the song on Instagram earlier this month. Five days later, the release date was confirmed in a tweet from Megan herself.
“B.I.T.C.H.” shares the same twinkling keys and playful melody of its Tupac inspiration, but with a major twist. The bass is boosted, and instead of the sensual pleas to a woman who needs a “thug” in her life, Megan flips it completely on its head. “I’d rather be a B-I-T-C-H / ‘Cause that’s what you gon’ call me when I’m trippin’ anyway,” she proudly proclaims on the hook.
Megan revealed the song will serve as the introduction to Suga, where she will reportedly debut a new persona to rival her many others, including Tina Snow. Snow made her first appearance in a 2018 EP of that same name.
“My next project, I will be introducing a new lady. Her name is Suga. She’s besties with Tina Snow… it’s a big problem,” she declared in an October interview with NPR.
A release date for Suga has not been announced as of yet, but Megan disclosed that the new album will feature Kehlani and that “more hot collaborations and surprises” are right around the corner.
